CARPENTER TYPE LOOKING TO EXPAND JOB SKILLS FOR BRIDGEPORT BASED COMPANY

We are looking for someone with good carpentry skills looking to expand into other mediums, someone who likes variety in their work. This position will utilize skills in carpentry and general building knowledge. While this isn't a carpentry position, the skills you have will translate well into our product offerings. The ideal candidate will want to learn and apply a variety of skills with a goal of manufacturing precast architectural concrete such as concrete countertops, sinks, fireplace surrounds, and firepits. He/she should want to work with their hands and is not afraid to get dirty. The ability to use a variety of tools and lift heavy objects is also a must. We are a small company in a growth stage so the new hire has the opportunity to grow with us.

This is a physical job with lots of variety, this is NOT a desk job. If you are someone that likes to work with your hands and wants to learn new methods of construction, you will enjoy this position.

Responsibilities:

• Manufacture precast concrete products including pouring and finishing
• Deliver and install
• Ability to learn new skills and use these skills effectively
• Must be able to lift 100lbs and enjoy physical labor
• Able to follow instructions and willing to perform various tasks

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in construction a plus
• Ability to read a tape measure and have basic understanding of tools
• Best if you have your own transportation
• Excellent communication skills
• Desire to work. This is either a part time OR full time job depending on the candidate.
