Monument Chemical Maintenance Supervisor in Brandenburg, Kentucky

Monument Chemical in Brandenburg, KY is seeking candidates for a Maintenance Supervisor.

DUTIES

The Maintenance Supervisor willsafely and effectively plan, coordinate and manage both capital andpeopleresources in order to maintain and to improve the reliability of all mechanical maintenance equipment and systems in the plant.This includes but is not limited to:

  • Plan, organize, direct, and ensure completion of corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance activities leading actively site maintenance and instrumentation crews.
  • Lead/Participate in developing and implementing improvement initiatives in order to consistently provide the highest level of site mechanical and instrumentation equipment reliability.
  • Analyze current functioning capability of crew (both as individuals and as a team) to lead needed upgrades (training, tools, SOPs). Develop maintenance policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all staff members are adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Specify, source, requisition, and/or procure replacement and repair parts for plant equipment.
  • Supervise and document the completion of monthly preventive maintenance activities according to established schedules. Create new schedules as required.
  • Provide support and instruction to mechanical and instrument technicians in trouble-shooting equipment problems. Reach for other resources, suppliers, Subject Matter Experts in case of need.
  • Manage resources for all aspects for general maintenance, including but not limited to pump repair, piping repair or modification, pressure vessel repair and inspection, mobile equipment, facility and grounds maintenance, preventative maintenance for all plant equipment, etc.
  • Continuously monitor maintenance/instrumentation activities in the field to ensure that adequate resources, in terms of tools, equipment and personnel, are utilized to produce timely and reliable repairs.
  • Work closely with the Mechanical Integrity Specialist, planner, scheduler, and Engineering to ensure all repairs are adequate and comply with all applicable regulations, codes and generally accepted, good industry practices.

EDUCATION

  • High School diploma required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Five (5) years of related work experience, preferably in the chemical industry. Experience working as a First-Class Tradesperson preferred. Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Good organizational, verbal, and written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, math and basic computer skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Understanding of instrument/electrical schematicsand the ability to troubleshoot using schematics
  • Must be familiar with Distributed Control Systems- (Provox and Delta V preferred)
  • Must be familiar with Hazardous location installations
  • Demonstrated ability to master specific equipment and chemical process knowledge.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise personnel.
