Description

OVERVIEW

Cadrex is searching for a Paint Line Set-Up who will be responsible for preparing and setting up the paint line equipment on site. The Paint Line Set-Up will work closely with the production team to ensure proper equipment setup, material handling, and paint application processes are in place for efficient and high-quality paint finishes according to production schedules.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set up and prepare the paint line equipment, including paint sprayers, drying ovens, and other related machinery, for production runs according to production specifications and job orders

  • Load materials onto the paint line equipment, ensuring proper material handling and positioning for paint application

  • Select appropriate paint types and colors based on production requirements, and mix paints as needed to achieve desired results

  • Adjust paint flow rates, air pressure, and other settings on paint sprayers to ensure proper application of paint finishes

  • Clean and prepare surfaces of materials to be painted, including cleaning, masking, and other surface preparation tasks as needed

  • Collaborate with the production team to determine production priorities and schedules and ensure proper coordination of paint line setup with production requirements

  • Monitor the paint application process during production runs to ensure accurate and efficient coating, adjusting as needed

  • Inspect painted materials for quality and compliance with production specifications and make necessary adjustments to achieve desired results

  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues related to paint line setup, including coordinating with maintenance and other departments as needed

  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintaining a clean and safe work area

  • Complete production documentation, including recording quantities of materials painted and maintaining accurate production records

  • Report any production or quality issues to the supervisor or manager

  • Assist with routine maintenance on the paint line equipment, such as cleaning, calibrating, and replacing worn parts, as needed

Requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1+ years of related experience and/or training

  • Strong understanding of paint application techniques, including types of paints, flow rates, and material preparation

  • Ability to read and interpret production specifications and job orders

  • Basic math skills, including measurements and calculations

  • Ability to operate paint sprayers and other painting equipment with precision and accuracy

  • Ability to perform visual inspections to ensure quality of painted materials

  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods of time

  • Familiarity with safety protocols and guidelines in a manufacturing environment

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends, as needed

EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
