What you'll do...

Overview:

As a Product Manager on the Walmart Frontend checkout experience team, you will be responsible for defining and delivering new smart product solutions that will help reduce Shrink at checkout and elevate the customer and associate experience. You will work closely with engineers, designers, researchers, and other product managers to understand customer and business problems, identify opportunities, and launch innovative solutions. As a product representative of the customer needs and business goals, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams across store operations, asset protection, and additional business partners to align on the vision, strategy, and roadmap.

What you'll do

  • Drive the end-to-end product from ideation to launch, and scale.

  • Define and prioritize product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria based on customer and business needs, data trends, and real time feedback.

  • Conduct user research, and market analysis to validate hypotheses and inform product decisions.

  • Communicate and present product vision, strategy, and roadmap to various stakeholders, including senior leadership, engineering, and design.

  • Measure and evaluate product performance, user behavior, and customer satisfaction using qualitative and quantitative methods.

  • Leading collaborative cross-functional design-thinking sessions to brainstorm or clarify product scope

  • Iterate and improve the product based on user feedback, data, and learning.

  • Run lab experiments, proof of concepts and pilots to assess if our solutions are meeting OKRs.

  • Effectively collaborate with data scientists and engineers, ensuring that the product vision aligns with technical realities.

You'll sweep us off our feet if..

  • You are obsessed with latest technology trends in computer vision, RFID, and other signals that help retailers accurately identify items to address multiple use cases.

  • You have experience delivering AI powered products like image recognition, video analytics, generative AI, voice recognition, text recognition, NLP, etc.

  • You have experience delivering products powered by Item identification signals like RFID, Smart scales, and other symbology readers

  • You are well-versed in the basics of machine learning, deep learning, and data science, along with their practical applications.

  • You understand how AI powered products operate and why certain technical choices are made, which can significantly influence the direction and success of an AI-driven product.

  • Acumen with design-thinking tools

  • Experience with various types of vision sensors

  • Have a startup mindset.

  • Willing to learn, adapt and adopt to changing needs.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related area and 4 years' experience as a product manager, ideally working on consumer-facing, large-scale, highly complex B2B/C products, We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of accessibility best practices and join us as we continue to create accessible products and services following Walmart's accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture.
