Walmart Senior Manager, Automation Engineering in Bentonville, Arkansas

This role is part of the Ambient Innovation & Automation team and reports to the Director, Automation Engineering. We have a strong preference for the individual in this role to be based in Bentonville, Arkansas (relocation package provided,) but can be somewhat flexible depending on requested location - ideally near major airport. You can anticipate traveling 30% in this role.

What you'll do...

  • Develop strategy, build mechanisms, and drive results to increase automation utilization and eligibility through a cross-functional workstream for First Mile Networks (Consolidation, Imports, & Fashion), incorporating downstream automation transformation implications

  • Perform end-to-end business case retrospectives and develop balanced scorecards for First Mile automation assets, identifying gaps through data and analytics and providing recommendations to drive business results

  • Engage with Merchants, Transportation, Supply Chain Optimization, and Quality partners to influence case packaging standards, supplier cost of goods, and inventory ordering methodologies to reduce cost and improve store in-stock

  • Develop automation transformation roadmap through robust Network CPCS Models and Activity Based Costing Models incorporating First Mile Strategies to inform direction needed for development of emerging technologies

  • Standardize operational performance metrics and develop consistent method for data capture.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field and 4 years' experience in Engineering, supply chain, or a related area. Option 2: 6

years' experience in Engineering, supply chain, or a related area.

2 years' supervisory experience.
