As the Senior. Accounting Manager, you will be a valued subject matter expert, leader, and communicator. You will be responsible for various accounting and financial duties with a primary focus on the accuracy of the General Ledger and compliance with GAAP. You will also provide financial analysis and assist in the preparation of various financial statements, annual budget process and reports, and other reporting as required while ensuring departmental deadlines are met. Additionally, you will be instrumental in supporting and advancing technical tools and software.

REQUIREMENTS, ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Review and approve monthly general ledger account reconciliations.
Assist the team in researching and resolving resolution of reconciling items.
Analyze and explain variances between actual and budgeted results
Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data and compliance with GAAP
Approve monthly journal entries and other calculations/reporting such as commissions, sales/use tax and inventory
Research system/technology issues with point-of-sale, treasury, accounting software, etc and be involved in needs assessments, selection, and implementation of new tools and processes
Support internal controls by complying with requirements and managing testing efforts; proposing changes or improvements to controls; and identifying and reporting gaps or exceptions in internal controls
Lead monthly and yearly close process, publishing of financials for various departments, internal audit functions, cash flow activities, and external audit requests
Conduct other ad-hoc analysis and special projects as needed
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and support the company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity
Evaluate opportunities for process improvement in compliance with GAAP and corporate policies and work with respective functional areas to drive these enhancements while continuing to strive to improve internal controls
Proactively research business best practice concepts and determine appropriate application
Update job knowledge by keeping current with GAAP, regulations and accepted practices; participating in education opportunities
Provide supervision, coaching and development opportunities for direct and indirect reports. Maintain a positive, productive and efficient work environment
Provide superior customer service with all customers
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and 5+ years related experience in accounting, finance or related field
At least 2 years supervisory experience in an office/Accounting setting
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, but especially Excel
Experience with point-of-sale and accounting software. Experience with Great Plains and/or MS Business Central preferred
Must have a solid understanding of GAAP and the month-end closing process
CPA certification or equivalent a plus
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional departments
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
Attention to detail and accuracy
Customer service oriented and professional demeanor
