Atlantic Health System Multi-modality Technologist, Full Time, Bayonne in Bayonne, New Jersey

Demonstrates proficiency performing imaging exams and knowledge of imaging equipment, procedures and equipment. Follows procedure protocols and guidelines. Ability to complete daily QA. Follows ALARA and image gently principles. Able to access, interpret, communicate, and deliver age and culturally appropriate care. Maintains a safe environment. Ensures timely schedule is maintained. Assembles and reviews patient data, history, proper two patient identifiers. Verifies physician orders and pertinent lab work when required. Ensure information for radiologists' interpretation is available (outside images, reports etc.). Perform all computer functions properly to ensure proper patient charging and image interpretation. Performs patient charging and completes exam end procedures in and EPIC/Centricity. Contributes to the team and works cooperatively with peers and treats fellow employees in a respectful professional manner. Displays the ability to work under stressful and difficult situations. Maintains communication between department sections/hospital departments as well as physicians. Adheres to standards of care per policy and procedure manual. And other duties as assigned by site leadership.

Required:

  1. Graduate from an accredited school of Radiological Technology, which demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities is also required.

  2. American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) - Technologist must maintain advanced certification in at least two imaging modalities (see details below in minimum education section).

  3. Current State of NJ Licensure as a Radiology Technologist - Certified

  4. Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS Certification

Minimum Education FT:

High School diploma

Graduate of approved ARRT program in MRI and CT or must attain second advanced certification within a year. Current BLS certification.

Minimum Experience:

3+ years
